Taxi or Rideshare

Taxi

Taxi ranks are located outside the arrivals area (door 8) at the international terminal and outside door 4 at the domestic terminal. You can pre-book with one of the companies listed below or just turn up at the terminal ranks – taxis and shuttles are always available.

Rideshare

The Rideshare zone is located behind the multi-story carpark at the domestic terminal and outside door 11 at the international terminal.

Auckland Airport charges $4 per pick up and $4 per drop off, at the domestic terminal and $5.00 per pick up and $3.00 per drop off at the International terminal (prices in NZD).

Car Hire or Shuttle

Car Hire

At the international terminal rental car services have been temporarily relocated at the rental car pick up zone, please exit via door 8 and follow the signs for Rental cars, it is a 5–7-minute covered walk. The rental car offices are on the left-hand side of the building. Domestic travellers can find rental car operators on the ground floor of the multi-level car park building, directly opposite the domestic terminal forecourt.

Shuttle ranks are located outside the arrivals area (door 8) at the international terminal and outside door 4 at the domestic terminal.

Public Transport

Bus and train services from Auckland airport to the CBD are also available. 

Train-Bus Services

The AirportLink bus carries passengers between Auckland Airport, Puhinui Station and Manukau Bus Station and operates every 10 minutes from 4.30am-12.40am, 7 days/week. The service departs from bus stop B at the domestic terminal and bus stop A at the international terminal.

Bus

The 38 bus operates between Auckland Airport and Onehunga via Mangere Town Centre every 15-20min, 7 days/week. At the terminals, it stops at the same bus stops as the AirportLink service.

Bus, Train, and Ferry Services also operate throughout Auckland CBD. Pay for travel on buses, trains and ferries using an AT HOP card. Cash can be used to purchase a paper ticket for train and ferry travel only. For more information on Auckland public transport services, please see their website.


Transport to/from Massey University's Auckland Campus (Albany, New Zealand)


Campus Location

The ASERA55 conference venue, Massey University’s Auckland campus is located in the North Shore area of the city (across the harbour/approx. 15km from Auckland CBD).

The campus is spread across two sites as follows:

  • East Precinct**, off the Albany Expressway (State Highway 17)
  • Albany Village, off Kell Drive and Dairy Flat Highway

**ASERA55 will take place in the Sir Neil Waters Building, which is located in the East Precinct of Massey University's Auckland Campus. 

Public Transport (Bus)

If using public transport, the Massey University bus stop is Stop 4214 and there are three bus services which go there - bus 83, 861, and 917. More information can be found via the Auckland Transport Planner

Parking on Campus

Parking is free in the area marked with a blue "P" on the above map. This location is about a 2 minute walk from the conference venue (Sir Neil Waters Building). However, spaces are limited. Visitors should discuss car parking with the Estates Service Desk (+64 9 213 6434).

Massey University students also have access to additional car parking on campus (see the Auckland campus map for designated parking bays).

Motorcycle and scooter parking

If using a motorbike or scooter, parking is available in designated motorcycle parking spaces at the East Precinct, next to the Recreation Centre, by the Scholars Cafe.

Cycling to Campus

You can find bike racks on the East Precinct in the following locations:

  • Next to Massey Business School, level 1 entrance
  • In the quadrangle between Quadrangle A and Quadrangle B Buildings
  • Between the Mathematical Sciences Building and Student Central
  • Outside the Recreation Centre.

However, if you leave your bike anywhere else, campus security will remove it. Cycling is also not permitted on footpaths or other pedestrian areas.

Showers are available in the following locations in the East Precinct:

  • Massey Business School, level 1
  • Quadrangle Building A, level 3
  • Student Central
  • Sir Neil Waters Lecture Theatres
  • Recreation Centre
