Submissions are open for the 8th International Council of Associations for Science Education (ICASE) World Conference on Science and Technology Education, which will take place from Monday, 22 June to Thursday, 25 June 2026 at University College Cork, Ireland. This conference, Addressing the Challenges of Science and Technology Education, brings together researchers, practitioners, and industry leaders to explore the latest advancements and challenges in Science and Technology Education. We welcome submissions from all levels of science and technology education, from early childhood through to secondary and tertiary levels.
ICASE welcome abstract submissions for oral presentations and/or poster presentations from a wide range of areas related to science education, including:
- Sustainable Development – Climate change
- Artificial Intelligence in Science and Technology Education
- Curriculum Development – Teaching, Learning and Assessment
- International comparative studies and trends in science education
- Initial Teacher Education (Teacher Training) and Continuing Professional Development (Inservice Training) for Science Teachers
- Industry-Education links – Careers in Science
- Laboratory Practical Work in Science and Technology Education
- Technologies in Science Education
- Science on Stage – promoting science education via outreach activities.
- Science Education – the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development.
- Marine Education – the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (symposium).
- The role of ICASE in promoting Science, Technology and Society (symposium)
- Cognitive Science and Pedagogy in Science Education.
- Policy and Governance in Science Education.
- Research in STEM Education.
- Global perspectives on aspects of science education.
A particular word of welcome is extended to those involved in local, national and international funded research projects at all levels of Education, e.g. Erasmus+ projects and other national/regional/international projects highlighting collaboration across borders.
Guidelines:
- Abstracts should be of 250 words in length and may be submitted online at the ICASE 2026 conference website https://icaseonline.net/icase2026/
- The final deadline for submission: 1 March 2026
- Notifications of acceptance will be sent by 20 March 2026.
- Deadline for payment of reduced early-bird registration fee is 31 March 2026.
- Final date for payment of conference registration fee for presenters is 15 May 2026
- Submissions will be processed in the order in which they are received. Consistent with all ICASE World Conferences, we expect this conference to be very popular. The earlier a submission is made, the sooner a response can be given, guaranteeing your place in the programme.

Sharing a presentation at this conference will enable you to present your work to an international audience, engage in meaningful discussions with experts in your field and provide you with the opportunity to publish your research in the conference proceedings and/or submit for publication a paper in the ICASE journal Science Education International.
