Dinner

The conference dinner will be held on Thursday the 30th of June 2016, at the National Museum of Australia. The museum displays will be open to ASERA delegates from 5.30pm, with Welcome drinks provided in the Atrium from 6pm. Dinner will be held in the Promenade Room from 7pm to midnight.

National Museum of Australia - Entrance

We are delighted to host the ASERA 2016 Conference Dinner at the National Museum of Australia (NMA). The NMA is a social history museum that explores the land, nation and people of Australia. The displays focus on Indigenous histories and cultures, histories of European settlement and Australians’ interaction with the environment. The NMA displays are housed in a spectacular architecturally designed building located on the banks of Lake Burley Griffin. The Atrium and the Promenade Room provide stellar views to the east across Lake Burley Griffin.

GOAD – Garden of Australian Dreams

Tickets are $120 per person and should be purchased when you complete your conference registration. The venue is a brisk 20 minute (1.7km) walk from the conference venue (QT Hotel, Acton). Other transport options will be explained at the conference. The dinner will include a delicious 3-course meal with a drinks package provided. The conference dinner will cater for all dietary needs – you must notify your dietary preference at the time of booking on the registration form. Changes to the menu or special requests cannot be made on the night.
