Where: UOW Campus 21.115

Organisers: Ange Fitzgerald (USQ), Kimberley Pressick-Kilborn (UTS) & Reece Mills (QUT)

Details: Primary Science Teacher Educators are invited to join us in a workshop to scope the possibilities for establishing a collective to inspire future-focused action and innovation in our teaching, learning and research.

Driving this event is an emergent finding from a recent project we have conducted that highlights a significant number of primary science teacher educators are often the only person doing this work in their institution and experience a sense of isolation/disconnection from the profession. The intention of this session to two-fold:

1.       Foster a community of practice for primary science teacher educators, and

2.       Lead to some ideas and actions for shared outputs (e.g. special issue in a journal, cross-institutional projects, etc.)

More detailed plans will be shared prior to the event. To register your interest, please contact kimberley.pressick-kilborn@uts.edu.au by Monday 1 June 2020.

Please join us for a coffee/tea at 2pm in the Ugly Duck Cafe (Early Start Discovery Space UoW Building 21) https://www.earlystartdiscoveryspace.edu.au/visit/facilities/ before we start the two-hour workshop.
