Our top-ranked Faculty of Education and Social Work Te Kura Akoranga me Te Tauwhiro Tangata (#37 QS World University Rankings in Education and Training) seeks a Science Education scholar to appoint at full or Associate Professor level.
As a senior academic, you will contribute to research, teaching, supervision, and leadership across the Faculty. You will provide academic leadership in Science Education, teach on the Graduate Diploma in teaching programs, and develop new PG courses aligned with existing programs.
We seek expertise in one of the following areas: Mātauranga Māori, Pacific and indigenous approaches to science education, climate change, socio-scientific issues, critical science teaching, digital learning, mis/disinformation and science knowledge. Knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum and schools in Aotearoa is advantageous. Our goals include expanding research capacity, fostering inclusive teaching, and advancing Māori and Pasifika interests.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to science education curriculum and contribute to the reputation of the University of Auckland and the Faculty of Education and Social Work.
