Call for presentations: Deakin CAR Symposium

The date for Expressions of Interest to present this year’s ‘Contemporary Approaches to Research (CAR) in mathematics. science, health and environmental education’ is approaching. EOIs are due Friday 11th October.

The CAR symposium is on Thursday-Friday 21st and 22nd November. Please share the flyer and details with your colleagues.

This is a blended event – online as well as located in-person at Deakin Downtown in the heart of Melbourne.

As before, we will be producing an edited book of selected chapters from the event (Volume 6) and will launch Volume 5 in the Cambridge Scholars book series at this year’s CAR.

You can find details of the event on our website, including our two high-profile Keynote speakers – their titles and abstracts, the EOI form, and registration links.

The CAR Symposium has been a signature event in the calendar of the STEME / MSET-Ed group (we’re changing our name – watch this space) for more than two decades and provides an opportunity for researchers to discuss innovations and challenges in methodology.

Remember, in crafting your EOI, that the focus needs to be on methodology/methods with substantive research findings taking second place. We group presentations by methodological focus in order to concentrate the substantial discussion time to methodology.

We hope to see you there,

On behalf of the organising team -Peta White, Russell Tytler, Joseph Ferguson, John Cripps Clark, Jill Brown.
