Through an Australian Council of Deans of Science (ACDS) grant, a First-Nations led interdisciplinary team developed a framework to guide educators to showcase First Nations Australians’ sciences in their tertiary science curriculum. The framework foregrounds the intersection between Eurocentric science and First Nations sciences, known as the “common ground”.
There will be an online launch in the Australian Council of Deans of Science Community of Practice on Zoom at 2pm – 3:30pm (AEST) on Tuesday 10 December. To register for this free session, go to: https://www.acds.edu.au/teaching-learning/indigenous-science/indigenous-science-webinars/
There will also be a live launch hosted at Deakin Downtown at 12:30-2pm (AEST) on 16 December 2024 with a panel discussion featuring the project’s First Nations team members and advisory group members – Joe Sambono, Tui Raven, Jordan Ah Chee, and Katrina Wruck.
