On July 1, ASERA held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at ASERA 52. There were several changes in our Board of Directors that we would like to acknowledge and highlight.
Firstly, the Board would like to thank Peter Aubusson who leaves the Board of Directors after many years, including the last 3 as immediate past president/managing director. David Geelan has stepped down from the president/managing director position but will remain on the board as past president/managing director. Both Peter and David contributed to the growth of ASERA and we are grateful for their leadership and dedication to the organisation.
Angela Fitzgerald and Leah Moore's 6 year tenures have finished. We thank them both for their hard work and attention to detail as treasurer/secretary and vice-president respectively. Kimberley Wilson stepped down as the ECR representative after 3 years on the board.
We are pleased to welcome Rebecca Cooper as the new president/managing director of ASERA. We also welcome new members to the board, Reece Mills as ECR representative and general board members Carol Aldous, Jared Carpendale and Linda Hobbs.
ASERA has been fortunate to have these past and present board members who are passionate about science education research and so willing to volunteer their time to ensure the ASERA community remains a well connected and collaborative community.
