Dear Course leader/lecturer,
We are running a series of focus groups across Australia to obtain feedback on resources developed by Be You (Beyond Blue). The resources aim to increase the mental health literacy and wellbeing of pre-service teachers or educators. The resources are intended to be used by the pre-service teachers/educators themselves and by tertiary educators who might incorporate the resources into their programs.
We are looking for pre-service teachers AND tertiary educators who teach or otherwise support students training to be teachers/educators, in early childhood, primary and/or secondary programs.
Participants will be invited to first review the Be You resources which we estimate will take approx. 20-30 minutes. They will then be invited to a focus group with other similar participants, which will take no longer than 1.5 hours. The focus groups will be conducted over zoom, and with participant consent, will be recorded. Participants will be compensated for their time with $50 e-gift voucher.
We are asking for your support in inviting participants to participate in these focus groups. You might like to consider participating yourself. We would ask that you disseminate this amongst your networks and post information about the study on any sites that you believe are appropriate. Note again that we are recruiting tertiary educators AND pre-service teachers/educators.
